Notes
This was a toughie -- check out the elevation chart. I thought I was reasonably well prepared after our 12 miler at Rancho 2 weeks ago, but I had bad calf cramps starting at mile 8 that really slowed me down. I forgot my salt pills, maybe that's why. I didn't have any trouble at Rancho.
Coming down I had to run without using my calf muscles, which is kinda hard. So as a result I was pretty slow on the way down. I did run well going up and passed a lot of people. It was also very rocky, and I was being careful not to roll an ankle like Derek had.
Fun race, would do again.
