Fun but kinda tough. I was already feeling the adrenaline at the start from arriving late and running up to the start. I had planned on doing the first few miles over 13:00 but failed at that because people were passing me left and right and I just couldn't do it. But I still felt reasonably strong throughout. Only two miles in the middle that were over 13. I now wish I had tried to keep them under, but I didn't know what my pace really was the whole time. I tried to put the pedal down starting after 6 miles, and really in the last three. It was brutal though because the last 2.5 miles were majority uphill. Mile 9 was solidly uphill. Otherwise I think I really would have been able to bang the last two out a bit faster. Still pleased with the effort and time. I wanted to be under 2:15 at the minimum, under 2:10 as the next goal, and 2:05 as a fairly unrealistic goal. So I beat my first two goals! And considering how incredibly sore I am today I know I really gave it a good effort and didn't hold back too much to make me feel like I could have done a lot better.

The Garmin read the exact same time as the chip time, but registered the distance as 10.09. If that was the real distance then it lowers my pace to 12:38.
