Notes

Did a run with Will Turanchik. I met him in Thomas Circle and we (me, him, and Elyse). We met up with a larger group in Georgetown and then headed out to Rock Creek Park. It was a great run. I have run Rock Creek before but this was better (because Will knew the route).

So sooner rather than later, we broke off (because we were going the longest). We hit about 9.5 miles and then turned around and headed back to Georgetown. Will came along for another mile on the towpath in G'town leaving me to finish the last four miles on my own. I felt good and was steady through out (no ebbs or dips). Even though I mentally started to wander the last two miles, my mile splits were under my 8'28" overall average. So even though I was tired mentally, physically I was holding up nicely. I had some reserves in the tank.

I felt great throughout the run and it past by quickly. It helped that it was a beautiful morning for a run and Will and I always have lots to speak about.

So my second 20+ for Chicago is in the books.
