Notes

Last run before the Atlanta Half Marathon on Thanksgiving Day. Temp this morn was about 5 deg higher than the predicted low for Thanksgiving day in Atlanta. So I tried to dress the same. I used the Pearl Izumi tights which are slightly heavier than the Under Armour ones I am bringing, and a long sleeve Starter shirt with short sleeve tech over it, No gloves, and a hat. After a couple of mi I had warmed up and while I felt a little warm don't think I would over heat during the half. The Atlanta route is more of a challenge than the FW Marathon half I did, so I'll walk more which should keep me comfortable.

ok, the run, well not the best and not the worst. Left calf decided to tighten a bit, and right shine started to remind me it was there within the first half mi. I was surprised but then thought it could be because I was running in the Mizuno Wave Alchemy 7's I bought on Labor Day and was still breaking in. They only had 3 mi on them. Still need more time on them to decide if they can become my long distance shoes. I was tired too so I didn't really push to maintain hr=97. Spent more time walking and kept avg hr in the low 90's.

We were at DSW last night and the ASIC Gel Kayano 15's are down to $129 and they had Mizuno Alchemy 8's for $59. I almost bought the Mizuno shoes. But am not sure, the ASICs are wearing better than the Saucony's and even my old Alchemy 8's.
