Well, very pleased with how this run went. The route was kind of silly, because I had to change directions a couple times due to it being dark, there being construction, etc. Anyway, the run out to the River Campus via the Genesee River Trail was pretty leisurely. My legs felt a little stiff, so I just kinda loped along and didn't give a damn about what pace I was going. Just for fun, about 2 miles in, I checked on my stride rate, because it seemed slow. It was right at 180 spm. I got sick of wearing a t-shirt about the same time, so I took it off and tucked it into my pants, later carrying it the rest of the way. Crossed the bridge at the River Campus and was feeling fine, so I kept the pace about where it was and continued to enjoy the music I was listening to (still Wide Angles). Had to turn back before going into the woodlands on the Trail because it was dark, and I ended up having to jump a pointy-top fence to get out of this apartment complex I ended up in. I started the running feeling sluggish, I think, because I haven't really eaten enough today. Nevertheless, my energy levels got better and didn't drop even as I approached the apartment again. So, I figured it would be nice to run out University and get the run up to 10 miles or about 70 minutes. In the end, it's almost funny how exact my run was (10.02 according to gmap pedometer.)-- It probably matters when I crossed the street and how in how close I was to 10.

Calves and legs felt pretty good the whole time, as did breathing. Form felt strong right up until the last half mile or so, when I actually started to feel a bit fatigued. I'm surprised I was able to do something this long without feeling much fatigue in it, but I suppose the way I'm running now really does feel more efficient.
