Easy-ish run with Chris and Andrew, with David joining us for the first 10 minutes or so before heading back. He's under the weather and wanted to do just a bit for the sake of speeding recovery. A wee bit chilly and pretty windy. I didn't feel very smooth, and sometimes it's just easier to run on the paved surfaces because the bumpiness of the grass causes the whole shoe to be displaced (versus barefoot or in the vibrams, where my feet can be more reactive to the surface). I didn't really measure the time out to the bridge, but I'm fairly sure we were a touch faster coming back.

First time I've run 2 days in a row in a few weeks. I might run again tomorrow, but it could be more prudent to simply take another day off and keep up the stretching. So far, no obvious shin pain, and I don't really remember feeling them on this run at all. Early in the run, however, I did feel the left foot a little bit, and we stopped for a minute at the turnaround point because my feet were cramping from the shoes and orthotics. Definitely not the highly localized pain that I felt earlier this year though, so that's a good sign. I'll keep running in these new shoes and maybe do something a little more speed oriented later this week back in the vibrams, and see how they feel.
