Beautiful day for a run... Could not possibly have asked for better weather!
Finished much faster than I planned for. I was going to treat this as a training run at 9 min/mi pace... ended up about 1 min/mi faster than that. Felt great, so I went for it. It also helped that I was able to pick off people left and right as I ran - made the race very enjoyable.
Carried no water. Took half a gel at mile 6ish, took another half at mile 10ish. Took gatorade about once every 1.5 miles. Never felt thirsty and didn't have that bad dry mouth feeling.
