I am really proud of this run. I was only going to run 2 miles and then get on the elliptical because my knee has been bothering me, among other excuses. At one point Kevin suggested I do some high lunges and I whined about not being able to do that on a treadmill. It was the second time he tried to give me something to distract from my not wanting to run and I had whined AGAIN!

I felt badly about it and I saw how counter-productive my negativity was. It was then that I decided to go to 3 miles. Covering up the screen with a towel is key. Kevin was also going to run a shorter distance today and I know he was struggling mentally, so when he said he was going to remove the towel blocking the screen to look at the mileage in 30 seconds, I said, "Okay, why don't you wait another 30 seconds." He happily-stubbornly said he was going to wait 60 seconds! He ended up running all 4 of his typical (albeit speedy) miles! That motivated me to go to 3.25. Happy day!
