I felt pretty rotten going into this, but I wanted to surprise myself, I put the towel over the distance and when I took it off, I was at 2.75. I just HAD to go to the 5k! The goal Kevin suggested a while back (because I had no idea what I could do) was 5k in under 30 minutes. If I can do it on a day I'm feeling like poo and running slower on purpose, I can crush that time in the race. He was a great motivator for this, encouraging me to push (but not to kill myself when I didn't feel good).
