I was very happy with this. My goal was 6:00 to 6:05 pace and I didn't want to go faster than 6:05 for the first mile. Well, the first mile was only slight too fast but it was my slowest of the day. I felt very good and relaxed through the turnaround at 5 miles. The second half was uphill and against a slight wind but I was able to push. Miles 7-8 were very tough and admittedly miles 9-10 were more like the last 2 miles of a marathon than consistent marathon pace. I carried Maurten on this and finished the bottle around mile 8 (12 total). I also took electrolyte pills at 0 (4), 4, (8), and 8 (12).

Saturday morning was HCA's upgrade so I only got 2.5 hours of sleep. Then I let myself sleep in Sunday morning so I didn't leave until around 9:15 which meant it was 70 and humid for the workout. And this was finishing off a 100 mile week.
