I spanked the monkey.
Was up in the air on how I'd handle this til it actually started. Would I "just have fun" ie, run with the camera, take pix, chat variously? Well, shortly after the horn sounded, I jumped in w/ Mikey and Jeff. I was feeling good, so I figured I'd stick around while I could. Hung with them til about 13 or 14, then faded. Ended up doing some walking - 3 times maybe?, so, I probably went out too fast. Then again, the course was one hilly sumbitch. But it was good to run w/ fast guys - and someone who knew the course. My prize was a Barrel Of Monkeys. Nice tech shirt ls. Nice cotton ss. Good to meet my online friends. Good food afterward. Yummy beer. Legs feel remarkably good today.
