Tempo, tomato. I'll say steady state. Steve was right, the pace did fall off more than I thought it would. Workout was a success, HR was where I wanted it. I'll say the last mile was up a slight rise or the pace wouldn't have fallen off as much. call it 7:15 avg pace, slower than wannabe MP, but that will all come together later. feel a blog post, "how to frustrate your coach".

good run. That's the heart rate challenge I've got this summer trying to figure out a real half marathon race pace - what pace in the first half of the race will leave enough room for the bpm creep? I'll feel like banging out 30 sec/mile faster, but I'd have to crawl or even walk in the last half to keep it in range. Sure don't want that.
