I think this was actually a pretty solid workout. I wasn't able to find a very good hill, but I went with what I could find. The splits are all over the place, and it seemed liked every repeat my watch was getting a different result. I ran hard up the hill though, and feel pretty decent about getting through this on my own. The location was a lot less than ideal, and I didn't feel great, but I managed to force myself through the workout.
On the tempo portion I found a great street where I didn't have any real intersections, so I was just able to settle into a rhythm and run. I'm certain it was a negative split because I was around 6:15 pace on the way out and ended up at 6:08 pace average.
The times don't appear great, but I think the effort was there. It's also quite difficult to do these on these trips.
