How long does it take to run a half marathon?
A half marathon takes a little less than an hour.

Definitely. 55 X 100 yards with 13-second recoveries is a stellar workout for marathoning. Do this 3 times an week, and stand on your head for 10 minutes every evening. It should ensure you a BQ your first time out.
Only if your first name is Paul or Haile or Samuel and hail from Etheopia or Kenya

Or another good interval workout would be repeat sets of 5 miles with 2 minute recoveries. 6 X 5 miles, once a week.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
