And that coffee is the shit, yo.
Getting the wind knocked out of you is the only way to
remind your lungs how much they like the taste of air.

Jazz hands!
Cool. Because if you head out Rhode Island way, asking for a white pie gets you clams casino. Ugh.

Runners run
But you do some talking about cuddling before you talk about sleep, right?
Hey Sandy, if you created "your technique" then please tell me how skating with no arm swing applies to runners as well?
Skating and running are quite different. Running is linear based (except getting around, or avoiding something), and skating is lateral based. You gain forward motion running with the energy from the foot going from heel to toe. In skating its lateral pushing down like the slice of a knife from toe to heel. As for arm swing. Skaters conserve energy by ether putting the arms in back, or as my case, in front. Arm swing for skating is used to gain speed. Both arms swinging for sprints or intense surges. One arm swinging for tempo and power. Skating is great cross training for ether cyclists, and runners. I can't understand running without using some arm movement (except in the case of amputees), as it helps give tempo, and counter balance. In conclusion. I don't see how no arm swing for skating applies to running.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
So I should start sticking my arms behind me except for the start of the race and the sprint at the end? How about if I run across ice and start to fall through, then what do I do with my arms?

I recommend the hula position known as "kaholo":
I'm not familiar with that -- maybe I should practice holding that position during some of my runs, to get comfortable with it.
It has the added bonus of directing landing aircraft in the right direction.
So I can be a better runner if I become an amputee? Maaan! I've given up a lot to be a runner, but I'll have to think about it for awhile before I take that step.
