My dearest Zoomster. I had to undergo fairly major surgery which has meant no running at all for Purdey for the last (almost) 18 mths!! I just couldn't bear to come on here and read all about how you guys were getting on knowing that I couldn't get out the door! Anyway, back to square 1 for Purdey. Aim is still a 24hr ultra, but will have to be Oct 09 now! Where are those trainers?

Not weird but I have been missing my wheel cover for my car for about a year now and the other day I was running along and right there in the ditch was a matching wheel cover for my car. Definitely not from my car but it was a perfect match so now I have all four again.

This morning, running our typical route: 1. a TV 2. a fox 3. 2 living deer 4. 1 dead deer, intact skeleton (not sure how I missed that before, but I assume it was there) Usually don't see much. I feel like the Dr. Seuss book about Mulberry Street - I am always looking for something, but don't anything exciting.

Ahhh...I can understand that, but you should tell people before you disappear into the Trenternet™. I often wonder what happens to people who are active on RA, then disappear. I worry about Bernie...haven't heard from him since he came in to say that he was doing well and the cancer treatments were working. When he disappeared again I can't help but fear the worst. Confused

I saw a dead dog at the side of the road once. It was not a pretty sight. You could see its internal organs. It was disgusting. And then I ran past it again three days later.

OMG, that is the cutest thing! The only turtles I have seen on runs are bigger and squished or one VERY massive, angry-lookin' snapper on the bike path that I gave a LOT of room.

When I'm in school in Oakland, (city) the only weird things I see are condoms, tampons, and other such necessities of life. Back here at home its usually just the occasional roadkill...
