    Unrunnable. I tried to take the sidewalk from my apt to the park and fell twice within 400 yards, and that was with Yaktrax. Not today.

     Damn.

     

    Took the dog for a walk and the meathead thought it wasn't slick since there was new snow. Damn near fell down doing his biz.

     

     

    Glad we left when we did too Spaniel. We need some good weather to get in a workout. Boston is just around the corner.

    Ostrich runner

      That would have been lots of fun with spikes or on skis...the roads weren't bad where they'd been driven over, but that snow covered ice was crazy. It was dead flat where I was falling too. I wonder if the yaktrax made it worse?

        If they were not cutting through the ice, they likely did by reducing surface area for static friction.  Screw shoes may have done better.  This is the problem I always had with screw shoes though, if you go across portions of true ice or iced concrete they are worse than nothing.
