    I just did the best case scenario math on training and weight loss for the May 17th Marathon.  Numbers don't lie, but sometimes they suck.

    To be anywhere close to my goal - I need to:

    Lose 3# a week - Every week

    Add .1 MPH to my paces every single week

    Build up my long runs (That one is not too bad)

    Eliminate all run/walk efforts by the middle of March (That is a mental and physical transition)

    Stay away from injuries

    Basically - 16 weeks of perfection ... That is the plan.   But I will be happy with 16 weeks of improving as a fall back.

    This week

    *  80 total miles

    *  5,000 vertical

    *  3 x weights

    *  No alcohol

    20@T

    *  10 x 1 Minute striders

    *  Long run or run / walk or 16+

    *  Weekend weight <= 251

    **  #1 goal is weight loss and staying healthy

    Long dead ... But my stench lingers !

    Just a dude.

      Goals:

      Long run of 16+

      Total of 50+ miles

      Get off the road

      Lose weight. (I'd like to be under 235 by the end of the Month)

      I'll probably be pacing my daughter on a 10k this weekend too... So that should be fun.

      Getting back in shape... Just need it to be a skinnier shape...

        Long run of 17.1

        55 total miles

        20 miles off the roads

        still losing (235.6. Wanted to be under 235 at the end of January. Close...)

        Also, paced the 10k successfully. She did well, especially considering she had been sick much of the week.

          Nice week and excellent long run, Kelly.  Lately I just can't face up to getting out there for more than about 13.  I did a 16 a few weeks ago but that's the longest in a few months.

          57 miles for me last week.  Did 12 yesterday as my longest of the week.  I had a 3x12min @150 hr interval session on Tuesday. That equated to about 7:12/mile.

          Best is I'm at 18 days on my run streak.

          Tryin to keep it rolling.

            > 30 miles this week.
            Ran the 11.2 for the first time since 2/2017

            Ran 7 days

            First rolling 30 days >100 miles in lord knows how long

            Feeling good. Sleepy though.
