I plan my races so far in advance. I can't help it. There are so many I want to do!
Hopefully I will be at 36 states at the end of 2012. I'd like to add:
New Jersey- New Jersey Ultra Festival
Quebec (provinces must count for something)- Quebec City Marathon
North Dakota- Bismark Marathon
Oklahoma- 24 The Hard Way
This is in addition to a repeat of Texas at Bandera in January and a long-long race in England or Hungary in May.
I want to do it because I want to do it. -Amelia Earhart
You sucked me in, WrigleyGirl! (And on a totally unrelated note, I was doing some research on the Dark/Double Monkey thinking it'd be a fun thing to do to celebrate my 50th birthday, and realized you were the one who ran it the year I ran the regular Monkey, 2010!)
Anyhoo, here are the definite races:
Texas -- Rocky Raccoon 100 (first time for that state!)
California -- American River 50
Washington -- Capitol Peak 55K or 50-mile,
Washington -- Tacoma City Marathon
Washington -- Lost Lake 50K
Washington -- White River 50
Washington -- Cascade Crest 100
Possibilities:
Idaho -- Silver City 50K or Pocatello 50
Louisiana -- Cajun Coyote 100
South Dakota -- Black Hills 50
Wyoming -- Bighorn 50
I am adding two to the list of races in 2013. The Carl Touchstone Memorial Mississippi 50 in March and Kings Mountain Marathon in South Carolina in April.

I'm now signed up for the Bighorn 50, so I'll be adding WY this year!

I'm doing the Kentucky Derby Marathon in April.
I'm also signed up for The Light at the End of the Tunnel Marathon near Seattle Washington in July. This will be a fun one because I'm meeting a bunch of the RA Masters out there.
It's also fun because it is super pretty and has a nifty tunnel. Enjoy!

I registered for the Delaware Marathon (Wilmington, DE) next month which I will not race but use as a long run. I hope to run and race in the monumental Marathon (Indianapolis, IN) in November. That will be a good achievement for 2013 for me.
Putin told me how to vote.
I knocked off South Carolina a week and a half ago at the Kings Mountain Marathon. It was a small race, and not fast at all (it has "mountain" in its name, duh), but I liked it. It was very pretty. For those who are stupid enough to have run Monkey, it was the closest thing to Monkey that I have ever done in terms of hills, roads and scenery.
Hey--thanks for the reminder, WrigleyGirl...I knocked off Kentucky on the 27th of April.
I'm now signed up for I just DNF'd the Bighorn 50, so I'll won't be adding WY this year.
I ran the Delaware marathon last month. 7 down, 43 more to go.
