Awesome RR :-) I'm not sure how folks made it with those kind of winds out there. Running 24 hours is one thing...Running 24 hours when the wind is blowing a mist on you at 40 degrees is another!

And, WC is right that this is very different from a trail ultra. So take that for what it's worth if you're doing a trail ultra Goo. However, the basics are the same: keep water, calories, and electrolytes going in at a steady rate. Try to keep your effort even. And try not to go mental when everything goes to hell.
