I know it has been asked here before but it has been awhile. Last time it was asked I was like, "what? I have one...do you need more?!" So it has been well over a year. One of the local race organizations I follow on facebook asked this today and people had very low numbers and I feel like the freak with a lot of shoes so I need to return to my happy place of people who have lots of running shoes and reaffirm I'm not a freak.

    I currently have 6.

    1) Mizuno Wave Inspire 9s for every day training runs....being retired soon....I've had 3 pairs of these total and these are the newest but soon to be donezo as they've been in rotation since October

    2) Saucony Guide 7s also for everyday training runs. Replaced an older pair of Wave Inspire 9s. I dont like the 10s

    3) Asics Kahana trail shoes. These don't get much use. But I got them for like $55 on clearance and they were good for hiking in Hawaii and my very occasional trail run

    4) Mizuno Wave Elixir 8- short races 5K-10K

    5) Asics Kayano 20- Long runs

    6) Just bought a second pair of Kayano 20s to start rotating since mine are 5 months old and there was a 20% off sale.

    PRs:   5K- 28:16 (5/5/13)      10K- 1:00:13 (10/27/13)    4M- 41:43 (9/7/13)   15K- 1:34:25  (8/17/13)    10M- 1:56:30 (4/6/14)     HM- 2:20:16 (4/13/14)     Full- 5:55:33 (11/1/15)

I am going to refrain from answering but you can look them up on my training log.

        Damaris

          5 right now:

          Nike Zoom Elite+6

          Adidas Boost

          Brooks PureFlow

          (2) Nike LunaRacer+3  - one for races and an older pair for speedwork. I also have a brand new pair in the box. I'm getting nervous they are going to make a change and I really like this shoe.

I just retired a pair of Hokas or else it would be 6. I liked them enough that I am probably going to get another pair.

5 pair. 6 if you count the old pair I keep in the car "just in case". 7 if you also include the minimalist racing shoes that I would wear if my knee had some youth left in it.

              Tom (formerly known as PhotogTom)

              5K - 25:16, 10K - 55:31,  15K - 1:20:55,   HM - 1:54:54

I have four.  Three pairs of Kinvaras and a pair of Virratas.

                some call me Tim

                  5.

2 pairs trainers(1 near dead), 1 pair racers, 1 pair crap trail shoes that get to go on cushy park trails until they die, 1 pair good trail shoes

Docket_Rocket, that is a *hell* of a lot of shoes!

                    Two:

                    Brooks Adrenaline GTS14, 339 miles

                    Brooks Ravenna 5, 349 miles

Obviously I try to rotate pretty evenly. It's the Adrenaline's turn tomorrow, so it should catch up.

a couple other pairs that get thrown in just to see if they work better than I remember

I have two more pairs of Virratas waiting in the closet for when these wear out.  I'll grab some Kinvaras on clearance to replace my current ones, both of which are now well over 400 miles and still feel good, so I'll keep using them for a while.
