How do you maintain weight with reduced mileage and increased carbs?

well with carb loading you will gain water weight, there's no way around it. I never weigh myself during carb loading - don't want to know. But I am 10 lbs lighter going into it... and I doubt I can gain much real weight in the next 10 days unless I go crazy.
Cool. 10 pounds is a BFD.
