Congration? lol
That's how they say it in Indiana.
Well done, Andrea! You've come a long way, baby.

Milestones aren't stupid. I think you should stop wherever you are and take a commemorative picture.
+1.
Are we there, yet?
When is the last time any of you saw an actual milestone, the kind they used to mark miles on the old roads?
2024 Races:
03/09 - Livingston Oval Ultra 6-Hour, 22.88 miles
05/11 - D3 50K, 9:11:09 05/25 - What the Duck 12-Hour
06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.
One of these? Never. lol
We still have mile markers but milestones are long gone. Of course I grew up in the city so they could have been around in the surrounding rural and country areas.
I don't think I've ever actually seen one, other than in the card game Mille Bornes. There is a "mile check" laid out by the park I run at, but it uses metal signs. Not the same.
(There is a stone elevation marker out here in the sticks, with a small metal sign warning people not to disturb it, lol.)

Actually I never hear congrats, or congratulations here in Indiana........it's too big of a word I guess for Hoosiers lol.
Thanks ya'll
I have eaten jelly beans, sixlets, egg candy whoppers, BBQ pork and ham and mac & cheese, and cherry cobbler so now I really want to take a nap

5k - 24:15 (7:49 min/mile pace)
10k - 51:47 (8:16 min/mile pace)
15k -1:18:09 (8:24 min/mile pace)
13.1 - 1:53:12 (8:39 min/mile pace)
26:2 - 4:14:55 (9:44 min/mile)
Milestones like that are meaningless and irrelevant and you should celebrate the hell out of them. I sure do.
Short term goal: 17:59 5K
Mid term goal: 2:54:59 marathon
Long term goal: To say I've been a runner half my life. (I started running at age 45).
Lol
