Sorry OOTB.
SRD.

From the Internet.
So sorry for your loss, OOTB
6.5 miles total with 3 at tempo. The weather was great but the tempo felt hard and I never really hit my target pace. Blech. At least I got it done.
OOTB, I am so sorry. They are never with us for long enough.
Really sorry, blue.
I have my 2nd to last workout tonight. 6 x 800 @ 10k pace. I was hoping to hit the multi-use path to lock in 10k pace for the last time in my race shoes, but it's pretty nice out so I'll likely be dodging tourists. Back to the track.
Barking Mad To Run
Hilarious! And ironic too that I had one of my infamous sleepless spells and have been up since 3:30! Just got back from an 8 miler where I chased and/or hooted at about a half dozen friends and coworkers. lol Off to shower!

Well since you were already up anyway, get your priorities straight then...start the dailies BEFORE you go run! No dailies by 7 am......you might be causing withdrawals for some of us! Way to go on your 8 miler!
Sounds like your legs earned an easy run today, Baboon! Enjoy! Yeah, you can't miss me....I'll be in an orange shirt...
Hope the weather cooperates for you, Damaris. Maybe it will drop to 77 for you....um....yeah....
Congrats on the tempo run, Lauren. You'll hit those targets yet, no doubt in my mind.
Happy SRD, Dave!
Well, B-Plus, dodging tourists does have its good side...gives your legs some 'lateral movement' training. Or you could just barrel right the hell over a few of them...and I bet all the rest get out of your way!
((((outoftheblue)))) SO sorry for your loss. Pets are family and it is very hard to lose them. A few years ago I lost a dog that Gail and I raised from a pup - she was 14 when she went, so had a pretty long life for a dog - and I still miss her, she was a great dog...and probably still is, up there, playing away and waiting for me and Gail to show up someday. Glad you had those last moments with her, and I'm sure she was more peaceful knowing that you were with her to the end.
I bet Rocky was happy, FreeSoul....he probably thought you forgot he could run and was wondering all this time why you didn't take him with you. Go, Rocky, go!
Ugg, Sly, sorry about the upset stomach. Try to look at the bright side and be thankful you don't have projectile vomiting. Hope you feel better!
Congrats on the double yesterday, Dan. Yeah, I took today off too. Normally I run on Thursdays, but since my boss gave me Friday off, I figured 'chill' today, enjoy the game, and then run tomorrow and I don't have to rush to get ready for work, etc, can just relax and run and take all the time I want. And, of course, sweat out a few game beers.

race obsessed
11 this AM started sluggish, by mile 3 it felt better and turned out to be a great run.

Running on a Friday? You don't have races both Saturday and Sunday this weekend?
I didn't find running in the heat to be too harsh last night. I guess it is more of a mental thing than a physical thing as long as it is not speed work. Is there really much of difference between 92 with a 58 dew point vs. 80 with a 70 dew point anyway?
Personal Bests:
800M - 2:38 (5/28/13) | 1 Mile -5:54 (5/28/13) | 3K - 11:55 (12/29/12) | 2M - 13:00 (12/1/12) | 5K - 20:00 (4/12/13) | 13.1M - 1:37:24 (2/3/13)

Surprisingly, no local races this weekend. There is one in Corpus...about 230 miles away....naw...think I'll just sleep in this weekend... ...I do have 5 races scheduled in September though...
There is always a race, Scott.

It was 95F at the start and sunny, da fuck, but the 6 @ MP were not that bad.

Only 2 pages today?
I got my 2nd to last hard workout done. Actually, I guess that was the last one, since next week is just a sharpener.
