Warm&fuzzy
Good morning!
I ran 10 with 6x4min hard, w/4 min recoveries. I was running by feel, and shooting for 7:45ish, and pretty much nailed them. The first one was 7:50, and the rest were 7:26-7:44. I'm very satisfied, especially since it was 71F and full humidity. My race is less than 2 weeks away, so I guess all the hay is in the barn at this point.
Have a great day!

PR, nice workout! Can't wait to see what you do on the race.
Damaris
I ran 8 with 2x(8x200m hard / 200m moderate)

'Morning! Happy Monday! I don't care what the calendar says...it is very much a Monday. I swam 4000 yards before work. I really can't wait until this training cycle is over so I can give the 4000 yard swims a break for a while. This was my 25th of the year and I probably have a few more to go. I only did five of them leading into my first Ironman.
Bike workout later.

I'm sorry, I know i should know this, but what race is this? Not the specific race, but distance. I wish more people would use our monthly race thread so it's easier to keep track of these things.
Speaking of race threads, Boston registration opens in a week. Well, it opens for me on Wednesday.

Great job on the workouts PR and Onemile.
RCD for me
Good morning! Nice workouts PR and Onemile!
I ran 2 sucky miles and 1 decent one to work. It was hot, humid and I had the backpack today, but I was also feeling some residual tiredness in my legs from Saturday's long run. In general I feel really good, so I was surprised that my legs weren't awake this morning.
Yes nice work on this Tuesday morning!
Ran an easy 5 this morning. Working in the heat all day yay!

Lots of good local runners I know are going to Berlin in two weeks, and since I don't plan on returning to Boston, I checked the qualifying times for Berlin.
LMFAO!!!
5 easy miles this morning in the dark, blah
I have a 10K on Sunday that went from a time trial to a PR attempt. Um, OK.
Cyber: my coach is running Berlin. Several of her racing teammates got in via the lottery but she didn't. She got a bib through a tour company instead. She's a 3:00 marathoner but hasn't run one in a few years due to injury.
I shuffled for 7.4 miles.
At one point during mile 1, a snail yelled, "On your left!"

it's a 5k on the 15th.
Oh yeah thanks for the advice for my mom with the gels yesterday everyone. I appreciate it.
Wow those are some fast qualifying times! We can dream right?
I think my best shot at it is not to slow down too much and wait 'til I'm 60.
Unless I find some miraculous formula to run faster while not spending more energy, I don't see myself ever running a sub 2:55.
As for the lottery, for now I prefer to try to get in marathons by performing. It makes it more gratifying when you toe the starting line. My "philosophy" might change in the future.

LONDON marathon:
The Good for Age qualifying times for the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon were:
Please be reminded that unlike in previous years, meeting the qualifying time for your age category does not guarantee entry into the event, but simply the opportunity to submit an application. If the number of Good for Age applicants exceeds the number of places available, then the qualifying time will be reduced evenly across the age group categories listed above until 3,000 runners of that gender are accepted.
PARIS marathon
When you register, your proficiency as a runner determines your bib color, which represents your placement at the starting line. As with all races, priority is given to the fastest runners, so Paris applicants choose among six colors, or start zones. The first two zones, red and yellow, require proof of a qualifying run time from a race held in the previous two years. In order to qualify for a red or yellow bib, your finish times must be between 3:00 hours and 3:15, respectively. From there, runners can vouch for themselves -- without proof -- to start in the blue, purple, green and pink zones, which run from 3:15 to 4:30 and over.
AMSTERDAM marathon
To qualify for an invitation for the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2018, you have to run a certain time after 1 October 2016. This time is <2.30.00 for men and <2.50.00 for women.
When you e-mail proof of your time, you will receive a promotional code with which you can enter for free. Besides a free bib number we offer a good starting pen just behind the elite runners.
