    Oooooooh!!!

You can say that, again!  Mudhoney SL...It will for sure have hydro disc brakes and Ultegra Di2.  Looks like it will likely have a Whiskey #9 thru-axel fork.  Planning on 2 sets of wheels -- 1 mounted with road tires and the other with CX, so I can easily switch depending upon where I want to ride on any given day.  I should have it around the middle of July.  Cannot wait!!  Gonna be sweet for doing the One Day Ride Across MI.  I've done that twice on my Cannondale SuperSix, but the new bike should be even more comfortable for that trek, not that my SuperSix was ever a bad ride.  My biggest issue ever was saddle discomfort, which is finally a thing of the past once I got my hind-end on an SMP saddle.

I'm guessing that I'd still use my SuperSix for road racing, since it's so relatively light/stiff/aggressive, but for most general riding/training the Mudhoney is going to be perfect.  I still would have been content to go for a stock carbon CX with disc brakes, but no companies we carry make such a thing (most companies seem to start their higher-end CX bikes at 48-50, but I'm only ~5'3").  Had Redline offered their Conquest Pro Disc in a 44 it would have been a no-brainer, since I really love the fit of my entry-level Conquest, but they start at 48 for every other model.

My new bike!  I had to go all the way up to Minneapolis, but it was worth it.  2013 Salsa Colossal 2.  I got a killer deal at the Angry Catfish.  (Great shop, by the way.)

I've only taken it on one short ride so far, but I'm in love. It's such a smooth ride and climbing/descending is rock solid. Lots of get up and go on the climbs and very stable at 30+ mph cruising down a hill. I'm going to have to get used to SRAM and not having as many gears, but the rest makes up for it.

Totally stock at the moment, but I will most likely be switching the saddle and the tires soon. Smaller saddle bag too. I just recently had hip surgery and have to stick with platform pedals for now, but the pins are orange and match the rest of the bike!

I moved from Shimano to SRAM - took a little bit of thinking at first but I love the SRAM now.

I am moving from, uh, whatever came on my cheap mountain bike.  So it's all new to me!  I like SRAM so far.  The tapping is smart, but I still forget and sometimes shift up when I want to shift down.

HUGE swoon!!  I <3 that bike...when they first came out with it I wanted one so bad...and I don't need one, since I already have a road bike.  But not one with disc brakes.  And those are my two very favorite colors on a bike.  Both of my road bikes have been blue and orange.

I had Shimano 105 on my first road bike and switched to SRAM Rival/Force for the 2nd one.  I never could get the hang of Shimano.  SRAM always felt more intuitive to me.  Until recently my SRAM setup has been trouble-free, too.  My bike's pushing 10k miles and the drivetrain likely needs an overhaul soon.  Not sure when that will happen, now that the Seven is in process...but since my Cannondale will still likely be my race bike, we're still going to have to renew the drivetrain, methinks.  At the very least it probably needs new cables.

Thanks, Zoomy!  It's my first "real" bike.  I'd been lusting over it since it came out as well and finally decided that I needed it after it went on sale in my size.

I tested a few bikes with Shamino 105 and I didn't like it as much as SRAM.  I rode a Vaya (too heavy) and a Surly Straggler (felt too stretched out) as well.

                            Sweet bike.

This isn't a bike that will appeal to the roadies and weight weenies but it's not intended for them.

I had a chance to demo both the Steel Frame and the Ti frame last year. I love everything about this bike but I do wish it would accept larger tires but I guess that's where the warbird comes in.

Enjoy the shit out of this bike...nice purchase.

It's about 22 pounds at the moment.  I am fine with that.  Also, I think everyone wishes it could accept slightly larger tires, but I can understand where Salsa was going with it.  I think they're trying to argue that it's a road bike, so buy one of our other 10 bikes if you want to throw bigger tires on there.  I would have maybe been interested in the Warbird if it wasn't aluminum, but oh well.
