Serious Drop off in Time (Read 21 times)

    Anyone have any insight:

Started running in September and over 2 months, I moved down from 9:45 to 9:20 in my MAF Test.  However, last Saturday, I did another MAF and dropped to 11:00!!

Since then, all of my runs have been painfully slow.  I have increased the amount I run, but, other than that, I do not know any other changes - stress and the like.

The only other change is that I am now running in the Los Angeles area, but all my previous runs were in other parts of the country.

So, could the weather make that much of a change, namely, it is warmer!

    Thanks.

I`ve noticed a huge difference when the weather is hot and humid and when it is nice and cool. This summer I started running at MAF all the time, and I went from a 12:00 average to a mid 9:00 average over a couple months. I`m thinking its the cooler weather thats responsible and not some miraculous improvement. So ya, if its much hotter than what you're used to its probably the culprit.
