Weightloss or MITTH Challenge - Week 5 - Final Week - Let's Start Again (Read 409 times)

Marathon Maniac #957

Okay folks, today is Week 5 Weigh In. 1. How did you do? I will say that I weighed in today 3 lbs lighter than Start Day 5 weeks ago. Even though my weight was a little artificially elevated because I was hormonally challanged at that weigh in, and also bloated from the Thanksgiving weekend right before that, I will take this as a huge victory! Basically I ended up right where I was before Thankgiving, but that means I didn't gain any over the holidays, which was my main goal. This group has really been a huge help in this - thank you! Where did you end up in relation to Start Day? 2. Let's start again with a new challenge. Is 5 weeks at a time okay with everyone? I am still 4-6 lbs over where I'd like to be, so my goal for this next challenge will be to lose 3 lbs in the next 5 weeks. I'm putting today's weight on the calender as my starting weight. Who's with me?

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

thanks to you Holly....for starting and maintaining this thread. I'm gonna have to ask for a delay in my weigh in. I don't have access to a scale this morning. With evryones permission I'd like to weigh in tomorrow morning and log my results then. I think another 5 weeks is a good idea. I'm in.

Thanks for this Holly, much appreciated and needed. Last week 203 pounds, this week 200 pounds sooo down 3lbs Smile Roy

Well, I was really hesitant to get on the scale this morning - but found that I was down 1.4 pounds from the Start Day. I can live with that, but now I really want to loose a few pounds. 5 weeks works for me - I'd putting my weight right here - 137.4 and I want to be at 134 in the next 5 weeks. Thanks Holly!

I found Roy's pounds! Up 2.9 lbs. Considering I was eating everything in site until well, yesterday, I'm amazed! I am up a size though, so that's what stinks for me. I have very few pants in this size (for motivation), so I'm getting quite annoyed with myself. I'm in for the next challenge. I'm ready to drop weight in the "Year of PBJ" Big grin. Maybe it can also be the year my thighs went back to looking athletic. Cool

            GOALS 2011: LIVE!!!

5 weeks is great, Holly. I weighed in on the "official" scale at the Y this morning: 123. Down one pound from before Thanksgiving, 5 pounds higher than I was at this time last year.Sad I need help! Like Nono, my clothes are snug, and I refuse to go buy bigger sizes. Like Holly, my metabolism sucks. But, if you guys can do it, so can I. Next time you see me pick up a bag of pretzels or go for the wine bottle, slap them out of my hands! I'd like to lose 8 pounds, which would be a good weight for my heighth: 5'3". I signed up for a half marathon in May, and I'm hoping that picking up the running/intervals/weight training will help me reach my goal. Good luck everyone! If you feel yourselves getting weak, post here and we'll give you a pep talk!Big grin

Well, I'm starting right now. So far, I've had a sensible breakfast and haven't snacked yet. Usually by this time of day, I've had 2-3 cookies just to keep me going. I think catching up on my sleep is helping have more energy so I'm not reaching for a quick fix. I hope. I hope!

                GOALS 2012: UNDECIDED

                GOALS 2011: LIVE!!!

I'm getting in on time for this one! Boy do I need it. I got motivated just reading everyone's entries from before, but apparently not enough to do anything. Maybe we can laugh at each other's bad habits...like how I bought those hundred calorie packs of cute little Hostess cupcakes (3 = 100 calories). I ate 3 packs (300 calories) one night, and the other 3 the next night. (insert pig picture here). After we laugh, we need to chastise - so let me have it! So this morning, after I ran, I weighed in at 136. Now I'm only 5'3 Jlynne, so between you and Holly I feel like an elephant. Undecided As a newbie, I need to know...do we weigh in everyday and post because I usually only weigh on days I run or swim (SWRFS).

I stated at 143, I went up 2 pounds in the course of the 5 weeks, but today I find myself at 142. One pound off is one pound off and 7 more to go. I am in with you for the next 5. Thanks Holly. This was the first holiday ever where I did not put on 5-7 pds.

I think we will continue to have the weigh-ins on Thursdays. That gives us time to work off the weekend bloat...Smile So, each Thursday weigh yourself and write that number on the calendar.

Forgot to weigh this a.m.. . . so will weigh in tomorrow instead. Thanks for that table Mari. At least for my height (5'9") it seems fairly realistic.

Oh, I totally need to know which frame I am...'cause I'm guessing I'm a small, but could rationalize that I'm a large!

Official Weigh-In: 143.3. Down 2.7 lbs from the start. Now it needs to just stay there, or creep down to 140. I'm all for keeping this thread going. Goal: 140 and maintain. Re the Chart - I'm 5'8" and consider myself in the Medium range. I would be tickled pink to be down around 136, but tain't gonna happen. Been there, tried that - too, too hard to maintain. Can you say almost no eating at all? And speaking of eating - my legal professionals association has its monthly membership meeting tonight. We're going back to Babetta's Italian Food. The rigatoni is to die for!! Pray that I have to strength to just say no! I posted this on the other thread, but if you didn't see it, it's well worth showing again. The right way to weigh yourself:
