    For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...

          I'm only vaguely committed to following a plan this week but the weather is suddenly wonderful!

              The left Achilles is a bit sore, so I will probably back off the mileage again this week to let that settle down.  But if it goes away quickly then I'll push the mileage a bit..

              Wed. 8 to 12 Fartleks 9.5  Tinman Tempo Ended up with a good progression run: Each mile 10 secs faster than the previous.  9:15 down to 8:09.
              Thurs. 4 to 7 Recovery 7.0 EZ Pace 9:28 pace.  Avg HR 126
              Fri. 6 to 7 EZ 5.0 EZ Pace 9:43 pace.  Avg HR 125
              Sat. 13 to 16 EZ to Long Tempo   15.4 miles  Between EZ and GA Pace 9:19 pace.  Avg HR 140.  A bit higher than easy but I was running with my speedy running partner!  A fair number of miles in the 8's.
              Sun. 0 to 4 EZ/Recovery 3.5 Recovery Pace  9:54 pace.  Avg HR 119.
              Totals 42 to 60   50.4   Another solid week.

                          A good week overall...wonderful weather as we've started easing into fall, but there's always a tradeoff --- all weekday runs are now in the dark.
