Hi Everyone, I've been MIA for the past couple weeks but still running! Went to Utah to support my SO at the Wasatch Front 100 and ran on some beautiful trails there and handled the altitude well which was a bonus! He did well-finishing 3rd. Week ending Sept 7-46.5 miles Week ending Sept 14-50 miles This weeks schedule: Monday 4 m - done Tuesday 6m - done Wednesday 8m - done Thursday 4m - 2 Friday Off - 2 Saturday & Sunday - Iroquois Trail 100 m (my first 100m! Shocked ) It's in NY with a 36 hour time limit-I'm hoping I'm not out there that long! Big grin Total 122m Kelly MTA_I completed my first 100 miler! 24:38 was my time, I placed 3rd overall and won the womens race!

May I join? I've been over 40 for a few weeks now, and would like to keep things that way through the winter if possible. Maybe posting my mileage here will help with that. My only race this fall will be a 10 miler in November. Hoping to run a marathon and BQ fall 2009. Anyway, here is this week. I'm fighting a stupid cold but so far so good.

Was hoping to be in the 60s this week, but 4 missed runs kept be down a bit.

Sun – AM1011.1 in 1:17:16 Ignored the HR and just ran. Felt pretty darn good. Nice to do a longer run. Probably could have gone further but decided to not do too much too fast. Still hope to have a decent mileage week.
Mon – AM3.32.8 in 23:43 Stomach issues caused me to cut this short…

Total65.553.3 HR is a bit higher than I would hope (about 5 BPM on avg), but improving. Time to start ramping it up for Houston!!!
Hoping for 70s this coming week.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Holly Mon1 – 7 miles 8:31 pace on grass loop Mon2 – 3 miles at 8:55 on grass Tue1 – 7 at 8:36 Tue2 – 4 at 8:34 both runs on grass Wed – 11 miles at 8:11 including 3 at tempo (6:48, 6:41, 6:36) followed by 10 x 30 sec hill reps, jog down after each one. Finish with couple slow miles with strides Thu – 6 miles on grass at 8:50 Fri – 8 on grass at 8:29 Sat – 7 on grass at 8:28 Sun – 20 miles, including half marathon in 1:27:13. This was supposed to be at marathon pace (or slower) but my training partner was feeling especially good and I decided to follow as long as I could. I really believed I was going to take it easy this time too--this is one more example of why I try to avoid using races as training runs. That being said it was encouraging to run this fast while not feeling all that fresh. Total - 73 miles
