Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

21:39 (8:32) - well this was going to be a nice 9 miler but I got caught in a heck of a Thunderstorm. I had to stand under an overhang at a local business while I waited it out hoping that my DW would drive by on her way home from work. Luckily DW came by and rescued me!
The rain really doesn't bother me anymore, but that lightning was scary and I'm not messing with that!

Thanks, again, Holly. I really like having this log. It makes me look at my week ahead and figure out how I'm going to get my runs in. With outdoor soccer starting up, my son's track meets (that are all out of town, now, that he's in college), and other stuff going on...it's tough to fit it all in, sometimes...as everybody on here knows.
So...this is what I'm shooting for...

Thanks Holly. Not much going on this week. I should probably end up somewhere in the mid 40's for mileage. I need to get back to my tempo runs so I'll do that mid week plus get out for a couple of hours on Saturday. Sprinkle in some trail running and that will be it.
My leg was acting up some but I managed 46.4 miles for the week.
Not at it at all.
A little bit of a cut-back week for a half marathon on Sunday.

Thanks Holly,
Maybe I can get a good week of training in this week. Looks like rain for most of the week. Which means a reprive from outside work.

Congrats on that high-mileage weekend, Holly! Much of it in the mud too!
I'm slogging through warm runs this week; just trying to acclimate.

For some reason the Graph function isnt working so I had to adapt Perch's week
I blew my week. Last training week. I did get in a few good runs but compeletly blew off my long run. Tried to run early evening after a family gathering. I did good to avoid the beer but the cake and pie got me. That was one of the worst 4.8 miles I've ever put in.
You know, to get any benefit, you've still got to do the runs on your own. Cut and paste doesn't count.
Okay, this week starts my final training push to the Bayshore 10K and onto the Ragnar Relay in June (Wasatch Back, Utah). I don't feel anywhere near being in top condition. Far from it. But I'll see if I can change that a bit over the next 7 weeks or so.

OK, so I have a 15k race this weekend. I guess that means I taper a bit? Well considering it's already Thursday, I guess it's too late for that....
who says life doesn't have a soundtrack?
