If you’ve never met the devil in the road of life, its because you’re both heading in the same direction.
Who's doing what this week? Whatever you do, hope it puts a smile on your face . . . and if it isn't legal, be sure to post it here!

I'll be putting in the mileage Fri, Sat, and Sun for the next few weeks to prepare for the 3-day run fest over Memorial Day Weekend. I predict tired legs. I also can't figure out where to fit in core/strength training, unless I do it after work on Mondays and Wednesday mornings. Hmmmm . . . .

Thanks, Leslie!
Yeah, Jim, what's with the no running?
Sorry about all the downed trees, Paul. What a mess.
Ok, just sort of an average week. This not training for anything is a nice break. Got a 5k next Saturday (May 5), first of our series races. I'd like to win my AG, but it'll be what it'll be, I guess. I really want to catch that damn rabbit!!

Wednesday: 6.7 miles run, .4mile walk
Thursday: 5.3 miles tempo run, .4 mile walk

Saturday: 9.5 miles run, .3 mile walk

Totals: 42.9 miles run, 2.8 mile elliptical, 2.6 miles walking
RA log rounded my runs up to 43 miles, but I don't count the hundreths... figure Garmin measures long anyway. Overall, this is one of the fastest week of runs I've had in ages, with most runs in the sub-8:10 range.
My plan was to take a week off from running, and then start hill training next week. Unfortunatley I am typing this from the Trauma unit at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek CA. I was hit head on by a driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel Wednesday morning.I have multiple fractures in my right foot and ankle, where my foot was pinned, I also have a fracture in my spine. The surgeon tells me I will always have pain and a limp, and that I will never run again. I am hoping to prove him wrong!
I'm going to be real busy with P.T over the next few months, I'll be letting you guys know how its going.....
Oh nooooo! Jim! That's awful! I sure hope doc is wrong. In fact, I know he is. Recover well and come back strong. Damn careless drivers!
JIM!!! I don't know what to say. I am so sorry! Thank the Lord you are alive! I will keep you and your family in my prayers, my friend. I'm going to PM you my email address if you ever need to vent or whatever.
We're all here for you, Jim. You are loved.
Jim, how awful! Very scary. could happen to any of us. Heal up, and prove those doctors wrong.
