Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
Here’s what I have for last week’s tally....sorry it took me so long...

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Bad week for mileage goal. Strictly a discipline thing. 2 solid training weeks to go!
Thanks again, Holly!
Mostly EZ running with a local 5K fun run Saturday.
Be safe. Be kind.
Thanks Holly!
I will call this a GREAT week!

22 minutes of stretching--15 minutes on an easy bike ride--and 22 minutes of a light weight workout.
Just a 20 minute walk with my DW tonight.

Thanks Holly, less than a week to Boston so I'm most certainly not going to get to 40 this week:

Full taper mode, now if I can just get my hip to behave I'll be just fine!.
Nothing for me last weekend and this week. Dealing with too many issues. I miss my daily runs.
Later on.

Thanks Holly. I'll be needing a pass this week. I'm long overdue for a cutback week and the signs of overtraining reared their ugly heads over the weekend. At least they waited until after my 5k PR!
who says life doesn't have a soundtrack?
I may need a free pass this week as a trip to N. Michigan is scheduled for a long weekend. But who knows? I may run 12ish on Sunday and get another 40 in. Next week will surely be a Free Pass.

Total for the week comes in at 49.7. I remain impressed and somewhat awed with how much everyone else plans their week.
