I don't mind driving to Logan if you decide to fly in or out of there either!!

Awesome offer! Maybe more RA folks will want to fly to Logan ))

While I am offering up options, if you want to spend a day or two in NYC staying at my house over a night or two on either or both ends of the race is another way to do this. Fly into and out of one of the four relatively nearby airports. White Plains is the closest but the smallest and with the fewest flights. The others are LaGuardia, JFK and Newark. But if you are not planning to spend a few days in Manhattan none of them make much sense as gateways for the race.

Thanks you wonderful people. I am just needing to check out air fares, and recall I never ran this, so I'm clueless about dates. Are we talking about finishing on Sunday, then, late afternoon? And what day do you leave to go north, Thursday? Friday? Again, just ballpark; I just have no idea and need some very general boundaries.
Sorry if I'm being a pain.

Aamos - we head up to the White Mountains Thursday afternoon/evening, spend the night at a hotel then start the race Friday morning from Cannon Mountain. We finish some time (late) Saturday afternoon. We have 2 vans with 6 people in each and while Van 1 is out running, van 2 is resting, eating, sleeping, cheering van 1 - then we trade off at designated transition areas. It really is a lot of fun!!
Thanks, Deez, I have been in both 12 and 6 person relay teams, so I get the general logistics, I just need to know the specifics for this one to see if I can make it work. So I'd need to arrive THursday early enough to get a lift if I don't rent a car, and could plan to fly back Sunday. No need to respond; just correct me if I'm wrong. (e.g., Amos, you'd really need to book a flight home Saturday night, 'cuz after all that time in the van with you, well, that would be about the limit.)
As of today we have 6 people that have committed to returning for this year's race. That means we are half way to a full roster! For those of you sitting on the fence this is the time to get your check to me and thus reserve your official spot in the van!
TwoCat - I couldn't figure out how to join an existing team.....is there a link you can send me? Who is already signed up?
Ragnar does not make life easy! It seems that under their system I have to send out invitations via their system one person at a time. I have sent invitations to everyone who has so far said they are in for 2015.
I'm signed up!!
Hi fearless captain,
If you are willing to have an aging racewalker on your team again this year, I can fill that spot. If not, that is completely OK. Regardless, our home, driveway, back house are available for staging, parking, post-race showers, etc.
I can also be available for pick-ups at Logan, Manchester (NH), or even Portland (ME) airports.
If Aamos is coming, maybe she can bring her DH so we could have a pair 'o racewalkers...

Without ice cream there would be darkness and chaos.
yes, yes, race walkers are welcome!!
Thanks for all your hard work, ohhh fearless captain.
I see coastwalker got those pictures I sent with the ominous warning that he better sign up! Great news that you will be joining us again this year! Expect to get an invite from Ragnar from me to join the team.
How many do we have on team so far?
an amazing likeness
Someone needs to recruit her for the RTB team -- she's a proven Rosie Ruiz disciple.
