“Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth you'd probably be able to get a lot of free games.” (Jack Handy)

          You're Welcome!

Jim - I ran the 10k a few years ago, but that's it.  It's a beautiful course that winds throughout the big redwoods.  Sections of it parallel the highway briefly and cars will honk at the runners.  I don't really enjoy running on the road, but one of these days I may have to actually run this since it's in my back yard.  Wish they'd do a trail run, but a few years ago the Six Rivers Running Club told my friend, who made a presentation at one of their board meetings, they didn't think there was enough interest in trail running.  What???  We live in a beautiful area with many, many trails throughout the redwoods and not a single trail race.  She and I have talked about trying to put one together, but neither of us has much free time, and in June/July, if things work out for her, she'll be moving to Astoria, OR.  Bummer.

If you come up, you'll want to try and stay in Fortuna.  It puts you about 30+ minutes closer to the race site.
