I had intended to taper last week, but the weekend weather was too nice. I'll do better this week.

And the 50K in July ... well, it's Minnesota, so how hot can it be, right? Actually, it's 90% run in the trees/shade, so it's not too bad. Er, you won't notice the heat because of the hills ... I mean, it's a really scenic course!
