Breger has so kindly helped out by doing last week's tally - Thanks, Byll!

After 4 weeks of buildup mileage - 44, 46, 55, and 58 miles this is a cutback week and i can tell I timed it right!  I'm going to keep the quality runs and lose a lot of the mileage.

I figured it was time I got back into the game. I set a goal to break a 3:20 Marathon this fall but lost some momentum and my work schedule conflicted with the fall marathons.

It feels good to be back in the upper 40's. I'm finding my body actually likes the 40-50 mile weeks better than the 20 - 30 mile weeks.

Bit of a cut-back week for me, trying to get some of the soreness out of my legs. I don't know if this is common, but between injuries and age, I'm not recovering from long runs for a few days, so I'm trading some distance for more runs.

                        Thanks Holly,

Not a very good week for me, about 16 miles .  Haven't been running very well over the last 8 or so weeks although my mileage has been fairly good.  Then this past Tuesday evening I developed tendonitis in the back of my right knee where the hamstring muscle/tendon attaches.  Its only tender if I stretch it to much.  So, I haven't been running.  Wednesday evening I got a very good deep tissue massage which seemed to help alot.  I did get my bike out this morning and had a great ride of 32 miles in 2 hours.  Just over 15 miles in the first hour and 17 for the second hour.  Felt very good going up and down the hills I usually run.  So, I think I will step back and take a nice rest from running for a few weeks or more and enjoy riding again.  Though I will probably get in 15-20 miles per week of running.  My next marathon (Skigit Flats, next weekend) I've decided to skip and I'm undecided about Portland in October.  I'll be back in a month or so when I start to ramp it up again.

Wishing good running to all.  Everyone of you are an inspiration to me.

Ooops.  Forgot about this.  Life got in the way last week and I decided to let go of the OCD and just not worry about running.  30.2 miles for me.

                            Not at it at all.
