Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
A big thanks to Milktruck for putting together last week's tally!
Here’s my tentative plan for the week. Work and family travel, on top of it being a recovery week, has me playing it completely by ear. Probably won’t make 40 this week, but I'm taking my running shoes in hopes that the hotel treadmill is working...

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Holly--I would volunteer, but I'll be gone this week, too.

For some reason, I can't modify this chart on my phone.
Maybe you could just skip the tally, Holly. For me this thread is so helpful as a goal-setter, looking forward, not so much looking back. Thanks!
My plan this week involves a little more intensity to sharpen for the relay next week, and therefore running fewer days (currently on Day 13 of a running streak).

I may not be able to get to last week's tally. Any volunteers to help me out this week?
(filling in for Holly) Sorry about being so tardy getting it done, but here's last week's tally:
Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.
Thanks Holly or MilkTruck if you are in fact filling in for Holly!
