I just realized that this group may not be active, and I just joined. I looked at a quick report, and found out that there were only 4 active members logging miles in the last year. I'm not sure if this long term goal of 10,000 miles at a time is the motivator that it was planned to be.
Any ideas of why the large drop off?

I think the dynamics of social web are responsible. I still log my runs here because there is no consistent tracking otherwise and I like to see the overall total.
