Yeah, George just called me and told me the price, nnnnoooo wwaaayyy.
I have just looked on Runner's Worls and it does say £86
Reasons......
1/ Extreme Running's organisational skills are rubbish
2/ £86!
3/ Two nights in a B&B
4/ No transport back from the finish
I reckon the race will take up two days of my life, soak up the about £200, and although I reckon it would be an awesome experience I think I can get that experience elsewhere, better organised and at a fraction of the cost.
Herts Stroller
Self anointed title
£86!
Too greedy.
Too much.
Event would cost me >£200.
No thanks.
The 24hr race I did, which necessitated massive organisational effort, a team of some 40 lap counters, tables and tables of food and drink etc etc, cost a total of ....£24.
Well my buddy George has dropped a BOMB and has just entered a 100 mile road run for £39 .....I am currently banned from running it by Mrs J but if anyone will be fit enough by mid year to become centurions I will do some extra chores andsee how it goes
If not I will be your pacer for the last 50 miles which Iam notbanned from........
Dangles this in front the boys and girls like a carrot
Just stubled across this site
you might want to considere the perth (the one in scotland!)ultra-fest instead the scottish athletics web site has a link. There will be a 24hr race and 100KM as well as some relays
the course is a round north inch, (approx 1.5 mile loops) flat, smooth tarmac and totally traffic free,
chip timed (with maual backup)
and the oganizers and very exprinced ultra-runners and there ingural race (2008) was very well run.
