I'll be running with my phone, 207-651-2770, so feel free to call me.
I can easily answer without handling my phone, but calling out requires that I use my phone. I won't answer if I don't feel like talking.
Older, slower, and trying to keep up with Tall Dave.
Looking good through 10K!! 7:10/7:11 pace. Looks very windy.
What was I chasing again?
Yeah I watched some of the telecast and it looks really blustery and non-ideal. They were talking about how much of the course is exposed to the wind. Does not sound fun, but I guess once they get through the Bronx it should be a tailwind from there.
Go Greg!
A list of my PRs in a misguided attempt to impress people that do not care.
Still on about the same pace 3:10:30 through 11m mark... last mile was slow but a little uphill. His prior mile was 7:03 and his fastest so he may have intentionally backed off.
3:11 pace with 6 to go... he should have the tailwind at this point to help.
3:12:57. Nice job Greg!
Great effort on a tough windy day.
Awesome work in tough conditions.
Congrats Greg ! Nice Race !
Greg - what an awesome time - great job!!
Thanks, all. The crowd helped shield me from the wind at points and it seemed like a tailwind and much as a headwind. Overall, I would say the wind was not a factor. I just couldn't pick up the pace as I had hoped and actually lost my pace around 19, although this was due in part to the uphill at that point. I slowed more for the last three. I'll post my splits (manually because my Garmin sucks).
My salty dogs
Congratulations Greg!!!
