Started the Devil at Noon. A crazy event - crazier was some people did a 50 Miler!
Missing a half mile where when auto paused did not restart. Total finish time was 1:59:04.
Brutal is a good word. Felt like 120 degrees on the ash fault. The hills with the heat - Killer. No clouds. Out and back and back direct into the sun. Had to walk a few times (first in any race) the last couple of miles - though maybe for 15 seconds each time. Good news never got passed. Picked off several until the last 4 miles then just hung on and try to not get passed. Tougher it seemed than last months Marathon. Fun stuff ......
