Felt great! Started middle of pack for an easy slow start. good fast kicks on the downhills (passing lots of folks). I knew the course, visualized it and made it happen. Kept perceived effort moderate throughout and strenuous (interval pace) during last mile. Gave away 9th place to a guy I helped keep his pace during last 500 yards. 3 gels: start, mi 5, mi 9. 16 oz recovery drink. Fist negative split!!! 52:30/49:03!!!
