Notes

Wanted to do some slow recovery laps today. Hoped to get about five but four would do. Didn't fill the Camel Bak and planned to go back to the car after two laps and refill a water bottle. Started out OK. Coming out of the woods on the North trail I noticed someone behind me. Of course the competitive spirit kicked in and I picked up the pace a little. This was suppose to be a recovery ride after yesterdays blistering pace. About four miles into the ride the pedals seize up like a stick is caught in the cog. The chain was super tight. After some inspection I noticed the bottom bracket had shifted toward the non drive side and the rings that hold it were loose. The one on the drive side had screwed in far enough that the crank was hitting the frame. I couldn't fix it without taking the cranks off so I loosened the eccentric adjustment and moved the BB out enough the crank would not hit the frame and took the short cut out. So much for laps. Rain in the forecast. Looks like I'm finished trail riding this week.
