O.K. I got in the pool. Warmed up for about 10 minutes and then swam straight for the remainder of the hour. Not really sure about the distance, but I think this is a safe guess. No cramping and breathing was good (this is a big deal).

My upper body is super tired, so obviously I will need to do this several more times.
