We were flying today, and I paid for it at the end -- didn't make it past the first lap. I'm totally okay with that. I haven't run this pace, at any distance, since the 5K at the beginning of July. Also, I had just finished ab exercises less than a half an hour before, and it was incredibly hot. At about the .7-1 mile mark, I experienced pure running euphoria--not even sure I had a single thought. I have a hard time calling this anything other than pure success.
