Woke up and started running first thing in the morning without eating. I was a bit nervous to do this but from what I've been reading, as long as I kept the pace slow, I should be mostly burning fat and I should be ok. Well it worked. I did have a water/gatorade mix with me, but it was completely fine. I ended up going pretty slow, especially the last couple miles. I was just under 11 minute pace at the end. Every little hill would force a huge slow down. I'm hoping as I continue this training, I'll be able to run longer distances without having to slow down this much. Even though I slowed down so much, I never felt like I was running low on energy or bonking. The run felt fairly easy, even at the end.
