Notes
2:46 was my stretch goal for this run. I could only smile when I saw the time on my Garmin at the finish. *Unfortunately, that smile quickly went away about 2 hrs later when tragedy struck the most beloved finish line in all of running. There are no words to describe the emotions that I experienced today. From the highest of highs to the darkest of depths. I was deeply touched and overwhelmed by the support leading up to the race, during the race, and after the race. Thank you to all of those that checked in on me and all of the other runners during the ensuing chaos. From friends to neighbors, and people I haven't heard from in years, but always remembered me as the guy that ran a lot. Thank You! My thoughts and prayers go out to all those impacted by this unbelieveably senseless act on what was supposed to be a day of celebration in the greatest city.
