Notes

Weather was good, ~45 to start, had some head winds for about 3.5 miles that were about 12-15 mph steady from mile 13-16.5. Temp at the finish was 60. Was sunny the whole time, no clouds to be seen. Ate 1 packet of oatmeal at 5:45 and a banana at 6, then drank my UCAN (10 oz water and 1 scoop) from 6:10-6:20. Ate my first 2 or 3 blocks just before the first water station and ate a few more before the second water station. Also ate some peanuts at about mile 7. Then at 1/2 my apple pie bonk bar at about mile 12 or 13. Felt good, only ate a few more blocks the rest of the race. Ate my other 1/2 of a bonk bar at about mile 21. Did take just less than 1/2 of a Caffeine GU just before mile 22. Started to get warm and tired at about 22-23, but pushed through the little bit of heat. Erin handed me an ice cold water bottle at just before mile 25, which I needed. Actually needed at about mile 23.

IT band around right hips was tight most of the time, but was able to do some butt kicks and high knees throughout the run to keep it loose. I did take an ibuprofen at about mile 20 to help with that issue. It's really tights and sore about 8 hours after the race.
