Notes

It was warm out, took as much fluid as possible at every aid station. Ate some pretzels/cheese-its at mile 6, 12 and 14. Took 1/2 my bonk breaker at mile 8 and the other 1/2 at mile 16. Took 2 tropical fruit bloks at about mile 20ish. Stopped to pee at mile 7 and again at mile 14. Ran with Austin Kimmel and Rich Wells, Austin started to slow down at about mile 10 and Rich was slowing at mile 15.5. I felt pretty good so I kept the pace as long as I could, at about mile 20 I started to take even more fluids at the aid stations and started to slow a little bit. The last 4 aid stations I walked through so I could be sure to get plenty of fluids. Overall I felt pretty good, stomach was a little tight at the end of the race, but it was good for the conditions. In the last few miles I seen a lot of people struggling, stopped to check on a few people that had collapsed or that seemed to be a little out of it. I probably could have pushed it harder the last 3-4 miles, but maybe would have only shaved a minute or 2 off from my finishing time. Wasn't worth it, it was enjoyable to help encourage people the last few miles.

BTW - First time beating Bill Pritchett, he DNF'd due to an injury. Still, I finished the race and he didn't, so it's a victory in my books. :)
